This exceptional matcha, harvested and prepared by hand using artisanal methods in Uji, near Kyoto, reflects the region's reputation for unrivalled tea quality. It is made from a carefully selected blend of cultivars, including Samidori, Asahi, Ujihikari and others, grown in specific regions of Kyoto. In particular, the Samidori cultivar is recognized as an exceptional variety from this region.

This high-quality matcha for the tea ceremony is made from first-harvest leaves (ichibancha), harvested in spring. Thanks to traditional stone-grinding methods (ishi-usu), it has a bright green color and creamy foam, creating a unique sensory experience. Its vegetal, umami taste is perfectly balanced by sweet notes and a subtle bitterness that harmonize the whole, for a rich, refined taste experience.

The combination of these cultivars, mastered according to a technique handed down by the Koyama family since the Edo period, produces a matcha of exceptional quality, while optimizing production costs. This matcha embodies the art of traditional Japanese tea, and will seduce even the most demanding palates.
