Matcha Premium d'Uji - Matcha green tea powder - 30g

1000103

An exceptional matcha tea harvested and prepared using traditional methods in Uji, near Kyoto, a place renowned for the quality of its matcha. It has a bright green color and a smooth froth. The first traces of matcha in Japan date back to the 13th century, to the Kamakura era, when a Buddhist monk brought back from China the seeds of a new kind of tea: not brewed, but ground into a powder and then incorporated into water, which the Japanese called matcha in reference to the manufacturing process. The delicate, refined aromas of this top-of-the-range matcha will satisfy the expectations of all tea lovers. Its vegetal, umami taste is perfectly balanced by its sweet notes, with a subtle bitterness to harmonize the whole. Matcha is an excellent substitute for coffee. It is rich in theine, aids digestion, strengthens the immune system and aids relaxation. It can be enjoyed in a variety of ways: stirred into water or milk with the help of a dedicated whisk called a chasen, but also in pastries, smoothies, desserts or savoury dishes. It's also a healthy, natural colorant, ideal for adding color to your preparations. Yamamasa Koyamaen began growing tea in the 17th century, during the Edo period. Traditional techniques were passed down from generation to generation until, in 1861, the company began wholesaling. The company continues to produce high-quality teas, managing every stage from cultivation to sale.
