Gin Tokyo Hachio classic ⋅ 45% ⋅ 500ml

Born of the desire to create a Tokyo Dry Gin in Hachioji, near Tôkyô, comparable to the London Dry Gin, this gin goes back to basics to offer a new standard. Whereas today's Japanese gins use a base of shochu or regional botanicals, Tôkŷo Hachio uses a base of neutral corn liqueur, giving the gin a sweet, delicate taste that envelops the aroma of its botanicals. Reputed to be one of the world's top 4 spirits, gin was originally intended as a medicinal spirit. The Tokyo Hachio bottle is a direct reference to this, while its octagonal label is a tribute to the kanji of the number 8, the character "八", "Hachi", which is both a sign of good fortune and a nod to Hachioji, where the gin is made.
