- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- 25 g melted butter
- 40 g sugar
- 4 tablespoons Sakura powder
- 100 g white chocolate
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- In a bowl, whisk together egg and sugar until smooth and slightly frothy.
- Melt butter in microwave or bain-marie.
- Add the melted butter to the egg and sugar mixture, then fold in well.
- Sift flour and baking powder together, then add to wet mixture. Mix until smooth.
- Add 2 tablespoons of Sakura powder to the dough and mix gently.
- Roll out the dough between two sheets of cling film to a thickness of about 1 cm.
- Cut out dough circles using a cookie cutter or glass. You can use your fingers to make a hole to make them look like doughnuts!
- Place the pastry circles on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
- Meanwhile, chop the white chocolate and melt in a bain-marie or microwave. Add the Sakura powder to the melted white chocolate and mix well.
- Once the doughnuts are cooked, let them cool completely on a wire rack.
- Dip cooled doughnuts in melted white chocolate and sprinkle lightly with Sakura powder for decoration.
