Ebi Fry Recipe

Ingredients
- 12 large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 50 g flour
- 1 beaten egg
- 100 g panko (Japanese breadcrumbs)
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Lemon and tartar sauce to serve
Directions
- Rinse and dry the shrimp with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
- Roll each shrimp in flour, shaking off any excess.
- Dip in the beaten egg.
- Coat with panko until the shrimp is well covered.
- Heat the oil to 170–180°C in a saucepan or deep fryer.
- Fry the shrimp for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve with lemon wedges and tartar sauce. Serve immediately to enjoy the crispiness.
